Indy’s Jellycat Bunnyhop Doll

This is Star Bunny! When she arrived with us she was already on her second set of legs and she was in need of a spa day. She was unstuffed and gently soaked in delicates detergent to shift the accumulated dirt and then washed twice to restore her colour.

Indy chose a bright pink cotton with tiny white spots for Star Bunny’s new legs. As each previous set of legs had been stuffed and had broken due to stress I decided to take a different approach by constructing them from rolled thick felt to make them more sturdy and then covering them with the cotton print. The idea was to give more support to the cotton when they flex.

She finally got fresh stuffing and was able to go home and be reunited with her Indy :)
